Elegance: A vegan spotlight

Updated: Oct 20, 2020

A little bite of heaven

Welcome back to My Vegan Flow. I know many of you may have busy schedules, but we all should take some time to stop and enjoy the little things. It's the little things that have always made me smile and brought me the most joy.

Strawberry Cheesecake

“Elegant bites... Small but Mighty.”

Every time I go out with friends and family I get inspired to create something new. Lets face it... Although eating out has gotten a little easier, it still doesn't quite offer the same options as non plant based options do. But who says that you cant eat what you want because your plant based? Don't limit yourself, once you start creating different dishes you will find ways to tweak and connect flavors, and before you know it you will be recreating many of the dishes that you enjoyed before you transitioned.

Don't deprive yourself

Growing up in Brooklyn, I was only a train ride away form Juniors and would indulge in their Famous Cheesecake, it was one of my guilty pleasures. But since transitioning I can no longer indulge in cheese cake... or can I? Well I will say this... its not Juniors and it is not cheese, but it is soooo good.

Be original, show off your style.”

Be original... we each have our favorite foods, so put your own flare on things. What you eat and how you eat it is completely up to you. Who says that that you have to eat a desert or any other food one particular way? For example, I like cheesecake but I also love blueberries, so why not a blueberry infused cheesecake with a blueberry compote? All I am saying is that you need to have fun with it. There are so many places to go and get your inspiration theses days, but no one recipe will give you what your palate may be looking for. Go out there and surf the web, watch cooking shows, look in cook books, or ask your favorite people for some of their best recipes and find a way to recreate them into plant based meals that you love.
